New server is up and operational!  Everything went really smoothly and im happy to say we are now running off a faster, larger, and more reliable server!  mimage.us is up and running great!  weshort.in is also up and running perfectly but with a...well...very ugly website.  I'm in the works on making a new design but as of now everything is working.  Once i get the new design finished and uploaded all old links will still work.  I'm not too sure if i want to design it in flash or basic html...hmmm.  Either way it's going to be coded in PHP but the design aspect i think flash would be more user friendly.  I want to incorporate something like i have on mimage where it gives you different types of the link (so you can post it on forums, etc).  So we will see how it works out!  Look forward to a new design!

 

Also, we are still running the local server.  If for some reason you have a problem on the new one with our website, just change www to www2.  For instance, if you try downloading http://www.mileka.com/myfile.exe and it doesn't work, try http://www2.mileka.com/myfile.exe, and it should work as that address is pointed at our old sever.  Enjoy :)

Server Relocation

We have decided to rent a server at a data center for our free services.  Both websites should be fully functional by 6pm tomorrow afternoon.  All existing sites and images will continue to work.  Once we transfer all the files to the new server we will switch over.  This will take approximately 15 minutes.  During that time everything will be down.  This will occur @ 4am EST 11/24/2009, if this is going to be an issue please make sure to host files elsewhere.

After a little bit of tweaking, we now have our own image hosting script setup!  Just visit http://i.mileka.com and upload your image to our server!  It works just like imageshack or any one of those other websites!  Give it a try!

We are now the proud owners of two new domain names!  We decided to purchase these two to make it easier for everyone to use our free services.  http://www.mimage.us and http://weshort.in

 

We will be using the weshort.in for our url shortening service, not sure if we are going to keep it as just http://weshort.in/XXXX or if we want to use http://weshort.in/urls/XXXX .  Shoot us an email, tell us what you think!

We just registered a new phone number!  You can now reach us at 407.536.MS4U (407.536.6748).  We figured we would throw the MS4U in there to make it easier for people to reach us.  So just remember, 407-536 Mileka Solutions 4 U!
